Peelback Mechanic collects nothing. Your vehicles, codes, and saved notes stay on your device. There is no account, no server, and no analytics.
All of it lives in the app's own storage on your device.
On your device. The 3D models and the code-to-component data are bundled with the app, so nothing is fetched and nothing is sent. The app makes no network requests.
If you connect an adapter, communication is directly between your device and the adapter over Bluetooth. Nothing read from your vehicle is transmitted anywhere else. Bluetooth permission is only requested if you choose to use an adapter, and the app is fully usable without one.
Peelback Mechanic does not request your location. If you enter a VIN, it stays on the device and is used only to work out which variant of the engine you have. It is not looked up against any service, which is worth saying plainly, because a VIN identifies a specific vehicle and by extension often a specific person.
Nothing. No analytics package, no crash reporting service, no advertising identifier, no third-party SDK. We have no way to identify you as a user and no way to see what you are working on.
Remove individual vehicles or saved codes in the app, or delete the app to remove everything at once. We hold no copy, so there is nothing to request from us.
Peelback Mechanic is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone.
If this policy changes, the updated date above changes with it.
