Kehai Care collects nothing. There is no account, no server, and no analytics, and the app makes no network requests. What you describe about your health is understood by software running on your own iPhone and stays there, unless you choose to share it or save it to Apple Health.
All of it lives in the app’s own storage on your iPhone, protected by iOS’s strongest file protection. Your log, check-ins, and tracked symptoms are kept out of iCloud and computer backups unless you turn on “Include in device backups” in Settings; the tradeoff is that they won’t move to a new phone.
On your iPhone. Speech is transcribed with Apple’s on-device speech recognition; if your iPhone can’t do that on-device, the app asks you to type rather than send audio anywhere. Your words are matched to symptoms by Apple’s on-device Foundation Models and a built-in phrase list. Nothing is sent to us, to Apple, or to anyone else for processing. There is no cloud fallback and no third-party AI service.
Reading. If you allow it, Kehai Care reads your recent heart rate, breathing rate, and blood oxygen at the moment you check your symptoms, to see whether any of them should raise the urgency. They can raise it, never lower it, and they aren’t stored beyond that check. With Kehai Care Plus, it can also read heart rate variability, resting heart rate, sleep, and mindful minutes to show them to you as plain numbers.
Writing, only if you turn it on. “Apple Health mood” in Settings is off by default. If you turn it on, your daily check-ins are saved to Health as State of Mind entries, and moods you log elsewhere in Health (for example, on Apple Watch) appear in your Kehai log. Nothing else is ever written to Health. Entries saved to Health belong to Health from then on: deleting Kehai’s data doesn’t remove them, and you manage them in the Health app.
You can change or revoke any of this at any time in the Health app: tap your picture, then Apps, then Kehai Care. The app works without any Health access.
This version of Kehai Care does not use the camera. If a future version adds a feature that does, this policy will say exactly how before that version ships.
If you turn it on, Kehai Care reads questions and results aloud using your iPhone’s built-in text-to-speech. No audio is recorded or sent anywhere. Only your on/off choice and which voice you picked are saved.
The evening check-in reminder, the evening reminder to log a symptom you’re tracking, the hydration, stretch, and breathing reminders, and the “check again” reminder are all scheduled on your iPhone, as is the countdown that can appear on your Lock Screen. No server is involved, and turning a reminder off removes it.
If you use Siri or Shortcuts with Kehai Care, Apple handles the voice request under Apple’s own privacy policy. Kehai Care only learns which action you chose and, for a check-in, the mood you picked. The Control Center button just opens the app.
You can require Face ID or your passcode to open your log. iOS handles the check; Kehai Care never sees your face data. Describing symptoms and getting an answer is never locked, because someone who needs help should never have to unlock anything first.
You can share your “Show to staff” card or your Doctor Visit Brief as a PDF, or copy the brief. A PDF goes only where you send it, and the app deletes its temporary copy when the share sheet closes. Copying uses your iPhone’s local clipboard only, not Universal Clipboard, and clears itself after two minutes.
Kehai Care Plus is an optional, auto-renewing subscription for the wellness features: daily check-ins, symptom tracking, extra Health numbers, and reminders. Payment is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store; Kehai Care never sees your payment details, only whether you have an active subscription. Manage or cancel anytime in your iPhone’s Settings under your Apple Account. Canceling never deletes anything you’ve logged, and deciding how soon to get care is free either way.
If you describe thoughts of suicide or self-harm, Kehai Care connects you directly to the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline and the Crisis Text Line. That conversation is never saved, in any form.
Nothing. No analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifier, no third-party SDK. We have no way to identify you and no way to see anything you enter. There is no database on our side to breach, subpoena, or sell. Apple is the only other party ever involved, and only for things you start through Apple: the App Store purchase, Siri, and Health if you use them.
What you tell this app is health information about you, and in most other places health information is exactly what gets collected, aggregated, and eventually sold or leaked. Keeping it on your iPhone is the whole design, not a setting. Because none of it reaches us, there is nothing for us to disclose to anyone, under any circumstance.
Delete a single log entry or anything you’ve tracked at any time. “Delete everything” in your log clears your whole log, every daily check-in, and everything you’ve tracked at once. Deleting the app removes everything else. Mood entries you chose to save to Apple Health stay in Health until you delete them there. We hold no copy, so there is nothing to request from us.
Kehai Care is for adults 18 and over, assessing themselves, and is not for assessing a child’s symptoms. It asks at first launch and doesn’t continue for anyone under 18. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone, and a child’s information would never reach us either.
Kehai Care is a consumer app, not a health care provider, and it is not covered by HIPAA. That framing tends to imply protections that don’t apply here, so it is worth being direct: the reason your information is safe is that it never leaves your phone, not that a regulation obliges us to guard it.
Some laws, including California’s and Washington’s health data law, give you the right to know, delete, or stop the sale or sharing of your personal or health data. Kehai Care doesn’t collect, sell, or share any, so there is nothing for us to disclose or delete; everything is already under your control on your device.
If this policy changes, the date above changes with it. If the app ever needed to send anything off your device, that would be a material change: it would be opt‑in, it would be visible in the app, and this policy would be rewritten before it shipped.
